Yoichi Shimamoto punched his wife in the face In December 2006, not long after they got off a plane in San Francisco, California. That, of course, was the fault of United Airlines. The Shimamotos (puncher and punchee) have now sued United in a federal court, claiming that the airline is responsible for Mr. Shimamoto’s actions… because United’s employees served him a number of glasses of wine during the course of the flight from Osaka.
